On June 18th, we held the first online training session for teachers as part of the SLIPS project, followed by the second session on June 25th.
The first session focused on the basics of Service Learning, especially for those who were less familiar with the approach. We talked about what it is, how it connects schools with their communities, and why it can be a valuable tool for inclusion.
It was a great start — everyone was engaged, curious, and open to thinking about how they might bring this into their classrooms.
In the second session, teachers reflected on what they had learned so far and began thinking about how to apply it in practice.
We’re excited to keep this momentum going!
