From the 6th to the 10th of November, the International Student Identity Card (ISIC), an institution that has served as a global passport to the world of education and exploration for seven decades, is marking its 70th anniversary in Prague – Czech Republic.
This significant event not only commemorates the enduring spirit of student exchange but also underscores the invaluable role that ISIC has played in the lives of millions of students worldwide.
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of ISIC in Prague an array of events, seminars, and cultural experiences have been organized.
In these celebratory days, from the 6th to the 10th of November, the ESC Academy Pro project, whose consortium includes OTB Europe, will be introduced with the research results from the project. This research serves three critical purposes. Firstly, it assesses the diverse needs of our target groups, gaining insights into their ESC experiences, digital skills, and student participation.
Secondly, it constructs guidelines for future activities, synthesizing existing knowledge and tools within our partnership, and ensuring an informed approach.
Lastly, it sets the stage for a comprehensive materials repository, facilitating task implementation and collaboration among partners of the consortium.
During these days, an ESC workshop will also occur.
Seventy years of ISIC in Prague is a reaffirmation that education and cultural exchange are powerful tools for building bridges between nations and fostering a sense of global citizenship. As ISIC embarks on its next chapter, it will continue to empower students to learn, explore, and engage with the world around them.
OTB extends its warmest congratulations to ISIC on its 70th anniversary!
