On 11–12 June 2025, the Erasmus+ MARVI project held its Museum Volunteer Managers Meeting in Faro, Portugal, bringing together 22 participants from 4 countries. The group included museum volunteer coordinators, curators, active volunteers, and representatives from volunteer-focused organisations.
Over two days, participants took part in collaborative discussions, workshops, and exchange sessions that contributed directly to the co-creation of the MARVI training manual and program. The focus was on strategies for engaging diverse and diasporic volunteers in museums and the broader cultural heritage sector.
The event marked a key step in shaping more inclusive and community-rooted practices in volunteering and cultural participation across Europe.
