As we draw closer to the end of 2023, we find ourselves near the conclusion of the “Social Radio 2.0: The European School Radio and Podcasting Community for Active Citizenship Education” project.
Starting on December 1st, 2020, this project has been essential for transformative education, aiming to prepare students for their roles as active citizens and bolstering the professional development of educators. With this project, we aimed to equip students with 21st-century competencies such as critical thinking, problem-solving, digital skills, media literacy, and communication skills, vital for active citizenship. Empowering educators with innovative teaching practices, tools, methodologies, and available educational materials.
Fostering an ecosystem that encourages children to become agents of change from a young age through the use of radio and podcasts, enhancing skills, broadening perspectives, and fostering lasting partnerships between schools and communities.
The project’s legacy endures. Its resources, experiences, and connections will continue to empower educators and students. The spirit of active citizenship will live on, as young leaders will continue to shape a brighter future for all.
We express our gratitude to everyone involved in Social Radio 2.0.
