OTB Europe, together with partners from 6 countries has started the implementation of the Erasmus+ KA2 project The InterMEDs – Fostering ‘Intercultural MEDiators’ as a practice for establishing communities coalition and mutual understanding. The project started in November 2019 with a kick-off meeting in Lavrio, Greece in January and is scheduled to run for 24 months.
The project is built upon a special training of members of both communities, either local ones, or migrant communities to become InterMEDs’ individuals who will act as specific mediators for the exchange of different cultures, representing key-skills of social responsibility and intercultural understanding and the skills to use various forms of promotion, such as arts, culture, media, training for the enhancement of respect, tolerance, cooperation, and communities coalition.
The main role of OTB in the InterMEDs project is to lead the project dissemination by overseeing the process of disseminating the project outputs, developing the dissemination plan, project graphic design and logo, overseeing website development and maintenance as well as templates and supervising all partners in a joint effort for maximum result visibility. OTB has recently presented the new logo for the project.
Project partners: Peshkar (United Kingdom), OTB Europe (Portugal), Panteion (Greece), Caminos (Spain), Mindshift (Portugal), CSI (Cyprus), XPCSA (Greece), CID (North Macedonia).
The project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ KA2 Programme of the European Commission.
